On Tuesday, May 7th, vote Sarah Moghtader for Brookline School Committee

Teach every kid

A Message From Sarah

Dear Friends,

I am excited to announce that I am running for School Committee. As a resident, a parent, and a teacher in the Public Schools of Brookline for 15 years, I truly believe that our schools are the Town’s greatest resource. It is in that spirit that I commit myself to building a school system of excellence that inspires and challenges our kids; where classrooms are places of inclusion and safety; and one that recognizes that students and teachers are worthy of our support, and our investment.

I was appointed to fill a vacancy on the School Committee in November, 2023, and set to work on the Finance and Capital Improvement committees because budget decisions are an expression of our priorities. My working style is one of collaboration. I come to each issue with an open mind, ready to listen, learn, and engage. I have benefited from a myriad of conversations with teachers, students, and central administration staff; and as a member of Town Meeting, a broader segment of our community. Each of those conversations has informed my perspective and guided me as a member of the School Committee.

Like all parents, the quality of our schools is personal. In my own family, I have a child who is best served with rigorous academics in her high school classes. My younger children needed literacy support in elementary school to access academics that challenge their intellect. Now, more than ever, we know that in our schools—like in my family—there isn’t one way to educate every child. We need our schools to work for all of our kids.

In the next term I intend to address:

I hope you will vote Sarah Moghtader for School Committee on May 7th, 2024.

Would you please join me in improving our schools with a donation to my campaign?

Thank you for your support!

Sarah
